First Internet Bank of Indiana Solutions Engineer in Fishers, Indiana

About the Position:

As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development and implementation of innovative integrations that drive digital banking platforms. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, architect solutions and ensure seamless integration and performance for business needs.

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with product teams and business-lines to capture, refine and clarify integration requirements
  • Design and develop scalable and secure integration solutions that meet business needs and align with strategic intentions
  • Oversee the integration of new technologies and systems into existing infrastructure to ensure compatibility and efficiency
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of solution designs, implementation processes and system configurations
  • Provide technical support and guidance to teams and assist with troubleshooting and resolving complex issues
  • Remain up to date on emerging technologies and industry trends in effort to monitor and recommend innovative banking solutions
  • Monitor and optimize performance of integrations and identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Were Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years previous relevant technical experience required.
  • Proven experience in API development and performing integrations with middleware and third-party APIs.
  • Strong understanding of digital banking platforms and technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# highly preferred.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and reprioritize as business needs evolve and change.

Working Conditions/Demands:

  • Professional office setting.
  • Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
  • Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
