Description

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to fill a contract to hire opportunity in the south hills of Pittsburgh. In this pivotal role, you will be part of a dynamic team, working on a variety of accounting tasks. Your attention to detail and solid understanding of accounting principles will play a critical part in maintaining our financial records and ensuring our financial operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) with precision

• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy

• Maintain and update the General Ledger regularly

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of month-end close process

• Utilize Excel for VLOOKUP and other functions to manage and analyze data

• Perform other assigned accounting tasks as needed

• Assist in the preparation and posting of month-end journal entries.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting related roles

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations

• Strong understanding of the General Ledger

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Ability to use VLOOKUP in Excel for data analysis

• Experience in preparing Month-end Journal Entries
