Summary/Objective: Overseeing the day to day operations of Legacy Farmers Cooperative Agronomy locations and Precision Services program. Direct, promote, and coordinate all agronomy locations and services to achieve operational success in a manner that will optimize the cooperative's market share and savings, improve the co-op's efficiency, and help achieve co-op's mission and goals, resulting in outstanding customer service. Essential Functions of the Job: Primary duties require the exercise of discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance on a consistent basis. Supervise agronomy location managers and Precision Technicians. Be responsible for the agronomy daily operations. Help to communicate, support, and ensure accountability of department operations goals Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the cooperative and a favorable image of the cooperative by working to support sales & marketing, logistics, and ensuring maintenance. Champion and implement an agronomy central dispatch plan to provide efficiency to our business and customers Establish goals and be actively involved with locations to ensure enhanced efficiency to our customers Help establish, follow, and supervise company policies which includes working with the VP of Agronomy to establish requirements for operations, reporting, inventories, and of products. Precision Services program lead Lead Sustainability Programs such as 4R Nutrient Stewardship and H2Ohio Technical training in cab - file transfer, slingshot, operations center, machine updates, monitor support Aerial Application lead Ensure that Legacy facilities and equipment meet all Federal, State, and OSHA regulations in collaboration with Legacy's Safety and Security Director Responsible to hire for open agronomy location manager and Precision Tech positions Oversee training initiatives for custom applicators and agronomy associates Conduct performance reviews of direct reports Strong organizational skills Provide input to VP of Agronomy, Director of Sales/Marketing and managers on customer feedback, both good and bad, to better serve our customers' needs Requirements:: Bachelor's degree or equivalent with some agronomy operations management experience Responsible for equipment assigned, such as vehicle Valid driver's license with clean driving record Self-motivated and ability to work well with others and independently Required to uphold all of LFC's Company, Credit and Safety policies Customer-service focused Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills Work with Safety & Security Director to promote safety and manage our risks Ability to adapt to and work longer and/or varied hours during busy season as the needs of the business dictate Follow company established policies and guidelines Miscellaneous Information & Preferred Experience: Limited travel Standard work week is Monday through Friday; needs of the business may dictate exceptions to this standard Applicants agree to take and are required to pass a pre-employment physical exam after a conditional offer of employment is made Applicants agree to be drug tested as a condition of employment and will not be hired should he/she fail to produce a negative test Strong computer skills Possesses flexibility and adaptability in meeting constraints and dem
