The University of Findlay ASSISTANT FOOTBALL COACH/ SPECIAL TEAMS COORDINATOR in Findlay, Ohio
The University of Findlay (www.findlay.edu) is seeking a full-time assistant football coach/ special teams coordinator, responsible for assisting in administration of all areas related to the success of a Division II football program and promoting intercollegiate athletics at the University of Findlay. Maintain a thorough knowledge of, and abide by all NCAA, conference and institutional rules and regulations. Failure to do so may lead to suspension or possible termination. Attend all NCAA Compliance meetings as offered by the department; successfully complete the NCAA DII University Modules annually. A bachelor's degree is required, a master's degree is preferred, with two or more years of coaching experience. The candidate must possess experience and knowledge in working with student athletes; experience and knowledge in evaluating football players; knowledge and understanding in regards to the game of football; public relations and promotion skills; knowledge of University and department policies and procedures; knowledge of NCAA and G-MAC rules and regulations, including recruiting, eligibility and certification; and knowledge and skill related to strength and conditioning. This is a full-time 11-month position, and hours of work and days vary depending on athletic practice and competition schedule. Some evening and weekend work is expected. Hours Worked: 80 hours per week in season, 40 hours per week off season. This job requires travel with the team to competitions and events. Evening and weekend work is expected. A valid US Driver's license with a safe driving record is required. Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves continually during working hours. Is subject to lifting over 50 pounds. Must be able to lift raise or lower an object from one level to another (includes upward and pulling motion) of 50-75 lbs. and must be able to carry/transport an object/equipment weighing 50-75 lbs.
