Waste Connections Class B Roll Off Truck Driver in Fife, Washington

Murrey's Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Class B Roll-off Driver to join the team at our Hauling location in Fife, WA . Previous waste experience would be a huge plus !

Qualified candidates must have experience with 13-18 Speed Manual Trucks.

PAY AND SCHEDULE:

  • Competitive Wages start between $35.00 and $35.50/HR

  • A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday , with an occasional Saturday as needed, 45-hour work week.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement as a minimum.

  • Ability to safely operate a Class B manual transmission vehicle on specified routes.

  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum two years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

  • Basic knowledge of truck components to complete pre-and post-trip inspections.

  • SAFETY SENSITIVE: YES

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This is a safety-sensitive position.

  • Ability to safely operate a Class A Roll-Off garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.

  • Perform routine vehicle inspection and maintenance, such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

  • Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, sometimes with no helpers.

  • Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose trash at designated facilities.

  • Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Extensive physical activity. It requires strenuous physical work, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.

  • The work environment involves exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, which requires following basic safety precautions.

  • The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and humid conditions, fumes, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.
