Sr. Manager, Patient Advocacy - Cell Therapy / Hematology
The Sr. Manager, Patient Advocacy is responsible for supporting the Cell Therapy/Hematology Advocacy team and our patient focused mission. This role requires managing a broad set of stakeholders, both internally and externally, in the planning and execution of various programs. The incumbent, reporting to the Senior Director, Global Patient Advocacy Cell Therapy / Hematology, must possess excellent communication skills, be a team player, and show great attention to detail, ensuring that business objectives are met with the right sense of urgency.
Desired Candidate Characteristics:
• The ideal candidate for this position will support all aspects of Patient Advocacy and provide project coordination to drive key initiatives forward in alignment with project sponsors and key stakeholders across BMS. The individual will support all processes related to external events, programs, medical conferences and initiatives across oncology.

Key Responsibilities
• Execute on assigned projects supporting the patient advocacy team
• Represent BMS at various external advocacy meetings, such as medical conferences, educational symposia and share key learnings from those meetings internally
• Collaborate with US and WW commercial and medical affairs, clinical operations, corporate communications, market access and other cross functional teams on patient-focused initiatives
• Coordinate field supported patient advocacy events
• Support BMS signature programs such as, Patient Advocacy Forum at ASCO, ASH Health Equity Forum, Global Oncology Advocacy Leaders and Future of Inclusive Cancer Research Forums
• Patient and medical congress management
• Support BMS led advocacy events support (summits, advisory boards, health equity events)
• Ensure project deliverables are managed in alignment with BMS Project Management best practices across their assigned projects.
• Periodically evaluate performance and develop action plans to ensure achievement of performance goals.
• Proactively remove obstacles to drive assigned project's momentum and progress. Engage and energize the project teams.
• Plan and engage necessary resources across the enterprise to ensure successful completion of assigned projects.
• Encourage innovation across projects and organize forums for cross-sharing of ideas and execution.
• Works closely with the Strategy and Business Operations team on financial monitoring of the Advocacy team and provides systematic updates where necessary (i.e. COMPASS)
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree Required, Advanced degree a plus
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry and/or patient advocacy preferred
• Demonstrated responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through coupled with ability to prioritize/multi-task effectively.
• Working knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, and related regulatory, commercialization and compliance requirements.
• Leads by example, displaying integrity, collaboration, accessibility, adaptability, sound judgment/decision making, and an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented attitude.
• Outstanding organizational skills; ability to manage concurrent projects within tight deadlines while maintaining excellent service to internal and external customers
• Skilled in stakeholder management and collaborative decision making and has ability to bring a variety of strong views and perspective to achieve objectives.
• Performs other duties as required
• Prefer 6+ years of project management &/or industry experience.
• International and domestic travel is required (15-20%) depending on time of the year.
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $119,000-$149,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience. Eligibility for specific benefits listed on our careers site may vary based on the job and location.
