GENESIS IRONWORKS LLC Structural Steel Project Manager in Fernley, Nevada

POSITION:Structural Steel Project Manager

SCHEDULE: Full Time;8-hour shifts

LOCATION:222 Reno Hwy, Fernley, NV 89408

SALARY: $52,000 -$72,800 annually; DOE

SUMMARY:

As a Project Manager, you will be instrumental in managing a diverse range of projects from the contract's inception to installation. A key part of this role involves reading and comprehending Design Drawings and Shop Fabrication drawings. We are seeking someone who is dynamic, has a strong understanding of the steel fabrication industry, and possesses excellent project management skills.

Applicants should reliably commute or have plans to relocate before the job commencement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Review contract and compared to the bid, mark up scope for owner review and signature.

-Prepare and track schedules for projects.

-Create and track item lists to ensure contracts and items that may be needed are completed.

-Create, estimate and maintain change orders and change order logs. Issue NCRs and logs to the shop.

-Review drawings for general conformance of design.

-Handle and monitored daily communication from GCs, detailers and vendors.

-Attend weekly meetings. Prepare for and attend change order meetings.

-Assist and organize daily and weekly dispatching with field foreman help and input

-Control and organize project fabrication sequence and shipping sequence.

-Communicate safety layouts and fab sequencing to detailers

-Work with shop and field foreman regarding fab and erection schedules and equipment needs.

-Coordinate with QC inspectors, gather and submit miscellaneous submittals an example paint and specialty items.

-Organize and coordinate shop and field safety.

-Write and control weld procedures.

-Perform training as necessary.

-Run misc. errands, pickups and deliveries etc. in company vehicle

-Implement maintain AISC Quality control program section 6.0, 7.0, 7.2.2

-Work with shop and field Forman to coordinate daily deliveries and will calls.

-Work with shop and field Forman and office manager to coordinate project equipment
