RYAM’s Fernandina mill is one the leading global manufacturers of high purity cellulose, a natural polymer commonly found in cell phones, computer screens, filters, food, and pharmaceuticals. It was constructed in 1937 near downtown Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, Florida. The plant produces 155,000 metric tons of softwood cellulose specialties per year and employs more than 300 people.

How you’ll shape the future of the engineering at RYAM:

We are seeking outstanding college graduates in Engineering degree programs to join our Early Career Development (ECD) program. We are committed to building our future leaders from within and that is what the ECD program is all about. As a new Engineer, ECD is your customized learning and development plan designed to prepare you for a leadership role or senior professional role in three to five years. The program serves as your guide as you build the foundation of skills and knowledge for success in a variety of career paths in engineering, technical services, mill operations, plant reliability, etc. Graduation from ECD means a promotion to a leadership or senior professional role where you will take on broader responsibilities with a significant and direct impact on business performance.

You are someone who can bring:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering

• 3.0 minimum GPA

• Graduation in 2023 or 2024

• Must be flexible to work in multi-shift operation.

• Excellent communication, critical thinking, interpersonal and team skills
