The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct nursing to patients in a Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH), acting under supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This position will assist in managing unit nursing, participate as a member of the treatment team, and assist in providing short-term psychiatric care to patients in a hospital setting.
The Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH) in Fergus Falls is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team of dedicated individuals helping to make a difference in the lives of others. CBHH is a small, 16-bed, inpatient psychiatric facility for adults experience acute mental health episodes. The length of stay is typically less than 60 days, during which treatment focuses on rapid assessment, stabilization, patient education, and discharge planning involving community support resources, with the overall goal of preventing future episodes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current licensure or be eligible for licensure in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse.
**Future Practical Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-LPN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-LPN.
Preferred Qualifications
Patient care experience within a mental health or behavioral health setting.
Experience working in a hospital setting.
