Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer specializing in the design of building systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of electrical systems and a passion for delivering efficient and effective solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing electrical portions of projects from conception to completion.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
• Professional Engineer license (P.E.) preferred but not required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building electrical system design and implementation
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, Visual Lighting, or similar)
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD and/or Revit)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
• Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g. IBC, NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Conduct electrical load calculations, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies.
• Review and evaluate existing electrical systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and coordinated designs.
• Review shop drawings, perform site observations, and provide technical support during construction.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
