Description Robert Half Finance & Accounting Contract Talent is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join our client's team on a temporary-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in AP functions within a corporate environment.

Summary of Position: The AP Specialist will be responsible for managing the processing of invoices from 40 different branches. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is proficient in Excel, comfortable working with large datasets, and experienced with accounting principles and general ledger accounts. Candidates should be highly driven, supportive, and able to work well in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Process invoices efficiently across multiple branches.

Utilize Excel to perform tasks such as copy/paste, saving files, and using pre-set macros.

Apply advanced Excel functions like VLOOKUPs and pivot tables to analyze and manage data.

Work within Unit 4 Financials software (similar to SAP or JDE).

Maintain accuracy and precision in all tasks, ensuring adherence to accounting principles.

Assist in maintaining the general ledger and preparing reports as needed.

Collaborate with team members to support the accounting department’s goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

3+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with general ledger accounts.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and macros.

Experience with Unit 4 Financials, SAP, or JDE is highly desirable.

Prior experience in a corporate setting is preferred.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

Position Logistics:

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (set hours to align with front desk operations).

Dress Code: Business casual; jeans are acceptable on Fridays.

Duration: Temporary-to-hire

Target Start Date: Candidate will start within 1-2 days of being selected after the interview.
