We are seeking a Title Service Specialist to join our team in the salvage industry. In this role, you will handle title paperwork for vehicles involved in accidents, ensuring all necessary documentation is processed accurately and efficiently. You will verify titles, process them into salvage for insurance companies, and ensure vehicles are ready for sale. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks including data entry, document review, and customer support.
Responsibilities
Research missing and/or incorrect title paperwork and determine proper resolution in a timely manner.
Provide a variety of customer support services through mail, email, telephone, and direct personal contact.
Review and enter title work for all customers.
Communicate with customers via email or verbally to handle title issues daily.
Complete applications to transfer title ownership.
Enter information from titles received from the state into the operating system.
Stay current with title/salvage laws in multiple states.
Respond to customer questions, complaints, and requests.
Resolve problems encountered in the effort to transfer title ownership.
Perform word processing assignments, filing, and related clerical duties.
Follow well-established procedures under the close direction of a supervisor.
Assist with other office functions as needed.
Immediately report all violations of company policy to a supervisor or manager.
Protect and preserve confidential, personal customer information received and adhere to state and company records retention policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
1-2 years of professional administrative role experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience in data entry and document review.
Strong preference for title industry experience.
Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
Ability to learn quickly and retain information.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1-2 years of state/national title processing experience.
Previous knowledge of title and salvage title requirements.
Experience in maintaining customer databases.
Work Environment
This is an office environment with a quiet atmosphere and very little foot traffic. The position is clerical in nature, requiring minimal phone work and interpersonal interaction. The schedule for the service center is from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with new employees starting on an 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM schedule. The role involves a significant amount of documentation and processing, ideal for someone comfortable working at a desk with limited interaction with others.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
