Revenue Cycle Manager – Posting #26627

Annual Salary: $90,000 - $105,000

Position Summary:

Sea Mar Community Health Center's Billing Department in Federal Way, WA is seeking a full-time Revenue Cycle Manager. Sea Mar is a non-profit federally-qualified health center providing health and social services across western Washington. 

The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all functions within the Central Business Office (CBO). This position supervises all business office staff in and outside the CBO as well as any billing/coding temporary and contracted staff. This position is accountable for the performance of the CBO relating to revenue, reimbursement, and staff productivity.

The Revenue Cycle Manger requires a skill to diagnose and root cause claim denials and rejection issues, develop action plans and training materials to resolve these issues, and create workflow or system configuration solutions to further prevent these issues.  The Epic electronic health record and practice management system will be the most used system and tool by this position. The Revenue Cycle Manager must take personal ownership of their training and understanding of the system. Becoming an Epic PB resolute subject matter expert will be critical to their success.

The Revenue Cycle Manager must be able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in an occasionally stressful environment. This position requires the ability to manage and influence people, develop relationships, and communicate professionally with all levels of staff including providers. This position requires the ability to work strategically and collaboratively with payers. The Revenue Cycle Manager must be very comfortable developing reports, analyzing large amounts of data, and using the information to communicate business needs and make decisions.

 

Education and/or Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare or business or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Working knowledge of CPT ICD-10 codes. Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, Washington State DSHS, Labor & Industry, and commercial carriers. 

  • Minimum of five years of related work experience in healthcare billing, accounting, or finance.

  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience in healthcare billing, accounting, or finance.

  • Work experience beyond five years may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.

  • Current Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certificate from AAPC, highly preferred (not required).

  • Proficient in personal computer applications, spreadsheet applications, and word processing.

  • Experienced Epic PB Resolute user and Epic certifications - not required but very desirable.

  • Willing to work in an office setting (this position is not remote).

  • English required; English/Spanish is a plus.
