MOFFATT & NICHOL Mid-level Estimator - Maritime Experience in Federal Way, Washington

Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for a Mid-level Estimator with Maritime experience to join our corporate Estimation team. This position will manage the compilation of construction cost estimates and schedules based on plans and specifications to provide our clients accurate information for budgeting purposes by working as an integrated member of our project teams. Assesses material, labor, and equipment costs and determining means and methods of construction in various sectors (i.e., marine, transportation, and bridge). Review plans, specifications, and related documents to understand project / program requirements Produce estimates based on clients' needs, including parametric vs built-up estimating methods Complete quantity take-offs to estimate materials needed to complete the construction job Estimate crew composition, production rates, and labor costs (union and/or non-union) Build labor burden tables using applicable tax percentages and hourly fringe benefits including overtime and multi-shift premiums Estimate the duration of a given project (project schedule) Estimate costs of construction delays (inclement weather and other types of delay) Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes Complete constructability reviews of plans and specifications Prepare basis of estimate reports; write specifications Supervise and coordinate with subconsultants, including review of their cost estimates.
