West Sound Workforce is partnering with a renowned healthcare facility in Federal Way to bring a temporary Maintenance Assistant onto their team! Known for delivering compassionate care across the Puget Sound, this organization is committed to creating healthier communities and serving those in need.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the facility remains in top shape, providing a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. You'll work alongside the operations and maintenance teams, tackling diverse tasks in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. From routine maintenance to quick repairs, your well-rounded skills will help keep the facility running smoothly and efficiently.

• Schedules vary, full and part time hours depending on needs
• 8 hour shifts scheduled between 7am-9pm

What you will do as a Maintenance Assistant:

• Inspect the property and building to identify necessary repairs or updates
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs
• Assist with grounds maintenance tasks
• Assist with painting and hanging drywall as needed
• Keep maintenance logs

What we are looking for:

• At least 1 year of recent building experience
• Knowledge of the function and operation of hand/power tools related to maintenance tasks
• Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing concepts and procedures
• Knowledge of the standard methods for internal/external painting, and of the use of related tools/equipment

• Ability to understand and follow routine verbal or written instructions Effective written and verbal communication skills
