Summary This position is located at the 136th Airlift Wing, Federal Medical Center Carswell, FT Worth, TX. The primary purpose of the position is to evaluate and manage the training and education program on behalf of the ANG (e.g., Mission Support Group, Operations Group, Flying Training Group, Fighter Group, Bomb Group, Cyber Operations Group) and its subordinate units. Responsibilities (continued from Summary) The role of this Group Training Manager (GTM) is to function as the Group Commander's key staff member responsible for overall oversight and management of the training and educational program. As a TRAINING TECHNICIAN (Title 32) with the Texas National Guard, your duties will include, but will not be limited to: Plans, organizes, leads and controls the Group and subordinate unit training program to ensure combat readiness. Serves as focal point for all Career Development Course (CDC) waivers, reenrollment requests and two-time CDC failures for the Group and subordinate units. Administers Education, Training and Distance Learning Programs. Responsible for overall management of OJT program for the Group and oversight of subordinate unit's OJT program. Manages the development of education and training instructional products. Monitors the overall accuracy and reliability of all data entered into and maintained in Personnel Data System (PDS). AFSC: 3F - Force Support Military Grades: E-4/SrA through E-6/TSgt Qualifications Specialized Experience: To qualify at the GS-09 grade level your resume must include relevant experience with beginning and ending dates of employment reflecting at least 12 months experience equivalent to the GS-07 which includes experience applying fundamental military personnel policies, training principles, practices, methods, procedures, rules, guidelines, publications, etc. Experience advising management on implementation of standardized practices and principles for incorporating career development strategies into the workplace to remedy any barriers or problems adversely affecting employee career growth opportunities. Experience with automated systems, personal computers, and software employed, in order to make reports (e.g., training needs survey), correspondence, and extracting data. Experience analyzing data/products to anticipate training needs for specific categories of positions that involve fairly well-defined and readily understood duties (e.g., administrative support and assistance), determine adequacy of training programs and/or deficiencies thereof? Knowledge of Air Force vision, values, organization, policy, and mission is mandatory. Knowledge is mandatory of Air Force education and training programs in regard to their principles, policies, and procedures. Education High school or general equivalent degree is mandatory.
