Job Description

The Manufacturing Excellence Program Leader will champion a transformational program, driving global improvement in end-to-end manufacturing operations. They will deliver a comprehensive program emphasizing standardization, continuous improvement, collaboration, and workforce engagement while working closely with operations, functions and plants. Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Director, this leader will develop and execute strategies to streamline and standardize business processes, reduce cycle times, share best practices, and ingrain Lean Six Sigma (LSS) principles. With a keen focus on LSS and digitization, they will optimize customer experience, safety, quality, efficiency, and operational costs while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across operations and manufacturing facilities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The candidate will work collaboratively across Supply Chain, Engineering, EHS, Quality, IT, Finance, Commercial, Legal, and Product Line Leadership to develop and execute the Continuous Improvement strategic roadmap, including:

  • Own the develop, implementation and roll out of the Manufacturing Excellence Program

  • Own the roadmap and execution of ME Program

  • Engage teams, other functions and partner to identify cross-business opportunities to leverage process improvement and manufacturing excellence, alignment and co-creation

  • Collaborate and foster a diverse and inclusive environment and encouraging growth, innovation and professional development

  • Drive process standardization and harmonization across the globe

  • Utilize data and analytical skills to identify and drive improvement

  • Drive ME program as part of who we are and how we do things in manufacturing operations

  • Infuse LSS and drive the digital transformation

  • Leverage dedicated and supporting functional support to achieve business objectives tied to roadmap, instituting metrics for program control

  • Act as a change agent, systematically driving continuous improvement and change, setting the pace of change to grow and integrate the business while maintaining team morale and ensuring successful adoption of new processes and technologies

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and periodic reporting to help drive execution, process uniformity, and improvement throughout the supply chain

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders

Qualifications

Qualifications preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university

  • A minimum of 4-years' experience in the water treatment products

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in Supply Chain or related fields

  • Minimum 2 years of SAP Experience

  • Fluent in English is a must

Skills preferred:

Well qualified candidates would have some of the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a global team within a large, complex and matrixed organization

  • Experience working with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain Operations, Customer Care, Commercial, Finance and AP Departments

  • Experience on leading and implementing technical-complex digital projects

  • Experience in LSS, CI

  • Good understanding of Digital from a functional standpoint

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior level management team

  • Ability to translate strategy into business objectives

  • Demonstrated effective facilitation, communication, and presentation skills through all levels of the organization

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills as well as critical thinking / problem solving skills

  • Cultural Awareness & Sensitivity

  • Ability to flex style to suit differing cultural norms to drive results

  • Experience influencing cross-product and geographic teams to identify and implement a Lean

  • Six Sigma strategy (i.e. LEAN, DMAIC, DFSS, CAP) that balances the rigour with technical risk, cost and cycle. Experience with LSS at

  • Experience leading diverse teams in a highly matrixed environment

  • Strong business and financial acumen

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing, Plant Operations, Supply Chain

  • Experience driving Master Data Improvements

  • Experience driving digital changes and transformations

  • Experience in Change Management
