Job Title: Construction Safety Manager 3Job Description

The main function of a Construction Safety Manager 3 is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers. You will be responsible for implementing measures to motivate employees, improve production methods, enhance equipment performance, and ensure product quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency.

  • Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.

  • Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production quality control and maintenance to detect production problems.

  • Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff while resolving personal grievances.

  • Set and monitor product standards to ensure quality finished products.

  • Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.

Essential Skills

  • Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.

  • 5-7 years of experience in construction safety management.

  • OSHA 10 & 30 certifications.

  • LOTO training.

  • ARC FLASH training.

  • Past experience as a safety manager or electrical contractor is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment involves overseeing construction safety management activities. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and standards, including OSHA regulations. You will be working with various tools and equipment, ensuring their proper usage and maintenance. The role may also involve preparing technical plans, blueprints, and models. Effective communication and observational skills are crucial for performance in this role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
