Job Description

Basic Qualifications

  • At least five years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent meaningful work experience

  • Must have strong analytical and network troubleshooting skills for both networks and systems.

  • Must understand fundamental Network concepts (e.g., Routing, Switching, DNS, Firewalls, etc.).

  • Knowledge of vSphere, VMware, and VMware Horizon administration

  • Windows Active Directory administration

  • Knowledge of IP networks, network virtualization technologies, and network applications

  • Scripting

  • The ability to work both independently and with members of a distributed team without close supervision

  • Experience in a network operations role

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong documentation skills.

  • Able to have a demonstrable understanding of ITIL & Agile frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MCSA or CCNA certification

  • VMware Certification

  • Healthcare IT background

  • SharePoint and Teams implementation and experience

  • Experience with the following: Cisco Networking, Windows Domain Administration, VMWare Administration, VMWare Horizon Administration, ESX Administration, and M365

  • Experience with iOS device management

Expectations

  • Must reside in or willing to relocate around the Farmington, NM area

  • Must be able to participate in on-call shifts

  • May be required to lift to 20 lbs., i.e., server, network equipment

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local laws

  • Work per corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand the role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any security compromises within the scope of the position.

Responsibilities

As a System Engineer II, you will provide system implementation, support, monitoring, and maintenance. You will perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability, ongoing performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades, and resource optimization and security! You will also be responsible for implementing and supervising the LAN/WAN and servers and responding to alarms promptly to prevent client impact and performance degradation. As a team member, you will deploy physical and virtual servers, complete assigned incident management tasks, and deploy and maintain the network switches. Finally, you will also be responsible for providing tier III and other support per service requests. Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure!

US: Hiring Range: from $27.02 to $54.13 per hour; from $56,200 to $112,600 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
