This role has the flexibility to be based out of our Farmingdale or Shrewsbury, NJ locations. As the Sr. Manager of Operations, you will oversee operational leaders and staff. This role will have budgeting responsibilities, will work with rates and billing, and will ensure that day to day field operations and/or production is running efficiently and within compliance. The ideal candidate will have field operations and/or production experience in the water utility industry. Primary Role Manage the development, management, and operation of the facilities and personnel of the Company engaged in the functional area of water and/or wastewater operations.Key Accountabilities * Develop operational strategies and direct and manage the field operations and production departments for water and wastewater operations within the state/state district. * Implement best operating practices, standards, policies and procedures to promote continuous improvement, efficiency, and excellent customer service. * Provide strategic and operational input to annual business plans, control budgets for responsible areas, and ensure that operational and financial targets are met or exceeded. * Implement effective reporting processes. * Provide analysis and support to Sr. Director Operations with information required for various reports, budgets, and business plans. (50%) * Ensure that operational integrity, including quality, environment, reliability, health, safety, and security is maintained. * Develop and maintain a strong safety culture supporting company initiatives to ensure our employees think about safety first in all jobs they perform. (10%) * Develop and direct cost effective solutions to meet customers' expectations and encourage best practice and innovation throughout all operational areas. * Work with the engineering staff to develop the strategy and priorities for capital investment programs, and drive the effective implementation of such programs.
