Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and resolving electrical problems, troubleshooting and continuously improving analog/digital electronic control systems, PLC programming, HMI systems, and computer network communications. This role also involves the installation and maintenance of process control instruments and ensuring the proper functioning of production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve electrical problems on analog/digital electronic control systems, PLC programming, HMI systems, and computer network communications.

  • Document and implement work order procedures for new equipment/technology and complete documentation of all system modifications.

  • Install and maintain process control instruments, both pneumatic and electronic.

  • Repair, calibrate, and clean all instruments, pressure switches, flow tubes, and gauges to ensure minimal downtime and efficient utilization of equipment.

  • Maintain flow of process by ensuring proper machine settings and speeds.

  • Monitor key process points and maintain records to ensure compliance with established standards.

  • Act as a troubleshooter to identify line performance issues and assist in correcting them.

  • Install, adjust, and repair processing equipment in accordance with specifications.

  • Maintain equipment using a Planned Maintenance Program.

  • Ensure the safety of all employees by continuously monitoring compliance with safety procedures and evaluating processes for safety risks.

  • Oversee strict observance of all safety rules and exercise extreme caution around moving machinery.

  • Maintain general housekeeping of maintenance and production areas, actively working towards a clean and safe work environment.

  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in maintenance repair, mechanical repair, and electrical wiring.

  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to repair and maintain mechanical equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education experience.

  • Two-year certificate from a college or technical school; or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

This position is based in a food production facility with a controlled environment. Employees are required to wear hair nets, beard nets, and boot coverings. The team size is approximately 6-10 people.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44720.00 - $52000.00

$250 referral bonus

Tuition reimbursement for relevant schooling/training to the field

or the medical premiums the cost does drop for the following year if they do the biometric screen in October at our on-site wellness fair. That information is listed on page 13 in the benefit guide.

There is a wellness program that employees can earn anywhere from $75-$150 based on how many points they earn throughout the year and is paid out to them early January of the following year.
