Butler Ag Marketing Events Specialist in Fargo, North Dakota

Butler Machinery Company, a leading Caterpillar dealership with over 65 years in the industry, is seeking a proactive and strategic Marketing Events Specialist. This role will focus on developing and executing event and sponsorship strategies, managing budgets, and enhancing engagement through organic social media. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event planning, strong organizational skills, and the ability to drive marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Event and Sponsorship Strategy:

  • Develop a comprehensive sponsorship strategy for Butler Machinery Company.

  • Evaluate current event strategies to identify areas for improvement.

  • Research and recommend relevant events that align with business goals.

  • Develop engagement strategies for sponsorships and events to maximize brand presence.

  • Assess revenue and MROI opportunities within the events and sponsorships strategies.

  • Evaluate and establish guidelines and guardrails for sponsorships.

  • Identify and recommend new sponsorship opportunities.

  • Provide local and regional teams with guidance to evaluate and pursue sponsorship opportunities effectively.

Planning and Execution:

  • Develop detailed corporate and local event calendars.

  • Set objectives, create campaigns, and establish timelines to ensure successful execution of events and sponsorships.

  • Plan and execute integrated multichannel activations paired with events and sponsorships.

  • Evaluate marketing return on investment (MROI) and performance metrics for continuous improvement.

  • Develop and implement a post-event analysis process and reporting system.

Budget Management:

  • Conduct a thorough analysis of current event and sponsorship expenditures.

  • Develop a strategic framework with clear guidelines for budget allocation, ensuring participation in impactful and purposeful initiatives.

Organic Social Media:

  • Develop and execute an organic social media strategy for events and sponsorships to enhance visibility and engagement.

Industry Engagement:

  • Identify and evaluate industry events, trade shows, and conferences for BMC’s participation.

  • Collaborate with HR to support event recruiting efforts and provide content as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

  • Proven experience in event planning, sponsorship management, and social media strategy.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and analyze performance metrics.

  • Proficient in using marketing automation tools and CRM systems.

  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate event and sponsorship effectiveness and optimize strategies.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead cross-functional teams.
