Location : Augusta, ME

Pay Rate : $31 - $35/hr ( based on experience, education, and location )

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM ONLY ( No nights, weekends, or holidays! )

What You’ll Do:

• Gross, accession, embed, cut, stain, and cover-slip tissue specimens for accurate diagnostic analysis

• Prepare special stains as requested by pathologists

• Assist in surgical frozen sections & autopsies, ensuring proper procedures and specimen integrity

• Process specimens using specialized equipment, instruments, and techniques

• Maintain quality control and respond efficiently to time-sensitive testing

• Serve as a backup morgue assistant when needed, assisting with autopsy procedures

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

• Minimum 3 years of recent Histology & Cytology experience

• BLS Certification (AHA Preferred)

• Relevant certifications & up-to-date vaccinations (TB, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Flu & COVID-19)
