At GDIT, people are our differentiator. The role of this Subcontracts Administrator Advisor position is intended to lead an elite Subcontract Closeout Team in development for GDIT’s Defense Division.

HOW AN SUBCONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR ADVISOR YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Lead a newly created closeout team, with the intention of creating efficiencies, building tools with our Systems & Data Integrity (S&DI) team, developing innovative processes to streamline closeouts, and building strong relationships with managerial colleagues

  • Serve as liaison and facilitator between the relevant subcontract closeout stakeholders

  • Provide guidance and work leadership to new positions of two (2) Subcontract Administrator Seniors, operating as the informal team lead overseeing subcontract closeout activities and reporting progress and risk mitigation to Finance and Contracts Management

  • Assist management and subcontract personnel in the resolution of subcontract closeout-related challenges, contributing forward-thinking and creative solutions

  • Create and maintain compliant audit files in accordance with Government customer requirements and GDIT policies and procedures

  • Participate in the review and coordination of approval of terms, conditions, and legal sufficiency of all subcontract closeout documents

  • Participate in drafting and negotiating subcontract modifications necessary to support subcontract closeout activities

  • Prepare status reports and brief Management and Executive leadership on accomplishments, challenges, and identified risks related to subcontract closeout efforts

  • Assist management and subcontract personnel in creating and showcasing process and procedural changes

  • Assist with subcontract post-award administration and closeout

  • Maintain heightened knowledge of relevant subcontract procedures and practices, to include subcontract closeout

  • Develop and deliver training on evolving GDIT Defense subcontract closeout policies, procedures, and processes

  • Participate in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree 12+ years of related Subcontracts Administration experience required.

  • Required Experience: 8+ years of related Subcontracts Administration experience

  • Required Technical Skills: Advanced skill level with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) and SharePoint

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in subcontract administration. Extensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned subcontracts, including FAR, DFAR, and CAS. Polished administrative and organizational skills. Highly effective communication skills. Ability to operate and negotiate independently. Ability to apply critical thinking and creative solutioning skills to navigate high priority and urgent needs. Ability to develop and train more junior employees on policies, procedures, processes, best practices, and overseeing communications and workload. Experience in developing effective research and presentation techniques at the senior leadership and Executive levels. Effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to suggest and create forward-thinking solutions to mitigate risk, increase efficiency, and contribute to the company’s bottom line.

The likely salary range for this position is $91,811 - $105,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
