Defense Health Agency Management Analyst in Falls Church, Virginia

Summary About the Position: This position supports the mission of the DHA Director of Administration (DAD (J-1)) and Management Manpower and Organization (M&O) Division located in Falls Church, VA. Note: A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Responsibilities Incumbent will develop/maintain the DHA joint manpower document, and manage a standardized organization and functions chart book Plan, develop, and conduct analysis of DHA manpower and organizational resources, to establish and maximize the efficiency and value of missions and functions performed by the DHA world-wide. Provide team members technical guidance on resourcing studies such as civilian manpower ceilings, management headquarters reductions, and manpower resource offsets for determining prioritizations Plan and develop DHA manpower requirements in support of the annual Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES). Ensure the review and analysis of existing or proposed policies and procedures are evaluated in terms of manpower resource implications and effects on DHA and subordinate elements. Plan work to be accomplished by assigned staff, sets priorities and establishes and maintains schedules and timelines for work completion. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the development of manpower requirements, developing reports to provide accurate recommendations to leadership, and supervising subordinates within manpower management branch. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Technical Documentation Workforce Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
