West Virginia Employer Card Services Specialist in Fairmont, West Virginia

The Card Services Specialist is responsible to ensure effective and timely performance of the plastic card processing functions, perform all necessary functions related to Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) accounts, assist with eServices processes to troubleshoot and resolve member issues, and serve as a backup to the other department staff as needed. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Responsible for debit card program; process approved debit card applications, set up member files in computer system, verify accuracy of cards issues and order cards to be sent to member. -Update status of lost/stolen cards, re-issue duplicate or replacement cards, resolve member issues with PIN fail or card blocks, handle requests for limit changes. -Responsible to monitor and process transactions daily on the Card Exception Report and Daily Report of New Cards on Synergy. Monitor and process transactions on the Customer Rejected Applications and Rejected Maintenance Reports from Star. -Maintain files and control records for debit cards and HELOC. Perform all necessary functions related to HELOC accounts. -Assist with eServices processes to assist staff and members to troubleshoot any issues related to online and mobile banking services in a timely manner, ensuring problem resolution exceeds member's expectations. -Assists with Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), Mobile Wallet, dispute research including but not limited to FRIS and 3D Secure. -Provide members with information and direction regarding their account status and their rights and obligations associated with the account. Basic Qualifications -Must be legally eligible for employment in the United States. -Must be 18 years of age or older. -Must have obtained a high school diploma or GED. -Must be available to work a schedule based on operating hours. Preferred Qualifications -One year to three years of similar or related experience. -Well-developed communication and member service skills, active listening, attentiveness, information retention, tact and diplomacy. -Must be a caring individual that treats others with respect and dignity. -Competence with computers, software programs, computer keyboard by touch, knowledge of general office machines, 10-key calculator and spreadsheet software. -Position requires an individual with a mindset of being self-empowered and solution-minded, detail oriented, maintains a high degree of accuracy. -Knowledge of applicable statutes and federal regulations. -Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.) Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is: -Required to stand; walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. -Work is typically sedentary but may require standing and walking up to 20 percent of time. -The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. -Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus. -Reasonable accommodation may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
