Aerotek Industrial Painter in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Industrial Painter (Day Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to deburring, sandblasting, phosphatizing, paint preparation, and applying prime and finish paint to various components and actuators. This role requires maintaining equipment, ensuring quality and safety standards, and promoting a professional work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform deburring, sandblasting, phosphatizing, paint preparation; prime and finish paint various components and actuators.

  • Properly clean and maintain all paint system components on a daily basis, and according to established maintenance intervals.

  • Ensure accuracy, revision level, and validity of production documentation and inspection tools prior to starting a job.

  • Analyze and resolve challenging painting problems, and recommend process and tooling improvements.

  • Maintain correct daily labor time recording and accurate entries on applicable manufacturing documentation.

  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion and perform basic preventative maintenance activities as required.

  • Perform other general shop duties or assist other departments as business demands require.

  • Maintain all safety, quality, and productivity standards.

  • Promote a positive, professional atmosphere and support activities that enhance the welfare and morale of all employees.

  • Ensure personal safety and the safety of others by consistently adhering to all safety policies.

Essential Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of deburring, sandblasting, phosphatizing, and paint preparation processes.

  • Proficiency in the setup of paint application equipment without supervision.

  • Advanced understanding of prime and finish painting procedures.

  • Knowledge of all daily paint system cleaning requirements.

  • Ability to work from oral or written instructions without supervision.

  • Skills and desire to train others as requested.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Professional qualities including strong initiative, integrity, and teamwork ability.

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts for continuous production improvements.

  • Ability to speak, write, and read English, and interpret documents such as safety guidelines, method sheets, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Regular and predictable attendance and daily punctuality.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Must possess basic computer skills.

  • Predictable and reliable attendance is required.

Work Environment

This role operates in a clean, temperature-controlled facility. The standard hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with the potential for overtime as business demands require. Employees are expected to maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to safety and quality standards at all times.
