Manages the day to day clerical and clinical operations of the physician practice(s) and/or clinics. The position ensures the practice meets customer service and financial expectations.

  • Supervises and motivates people, and promotes a “team” approach to problem solving, team development and goal setting within assigned areas.Performs management functions including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating staff. Counsels employees regarding employment, performance, promotion and termination in accordance with Human Resource policies.

  • Serves as a role model to set the standards of behavior, professionalism, and outstanding customer services in all relationships with all customers, internal and external.Seeks out opportunities for self development.Facilitates troubleshooting and follow up to ensure effective provider, staff, customer and peer relationships.

  • Adheres to and holds accountable the established controls of quality, compliance and risk standards for the day to day operations of the practice.This includes management of supply chain activities including the ordering of supplies and maintaining inventory, while adhering to departmental budgets, as well as processes all invoices and bills for the office.This also includes ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory or accrediting bodies.

  • Functions as a key liaison for all new provider integration activities for the practice(s).

  • Manages applicable revenue cycle processes, including work queues and coding compliance (and in some locations, may include copays, daily cash drawer, and bank deposits).

MINIMUM EDUCATION

Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education: 2 year /Associates Degree

Specialty/Major: Business, Healthcare, Related Field

Minimum Years and Type of Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in a clinical environment (physician office preferred)

  • 1 year of management experience (preferably in a healthcare setting) or a 2 year degree in business, healthcare or related field.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Computer proficiency including MS Office, email.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred
