Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Provide mechanical designs, drawings, and related information for customers, suppliers, and manufacturing using CAD, PDM, and related software

• Work with other departments on moderately complex tasks to identify the best course of action

• Analyze the design for tolerance stack-up, ease of manufacture, and compliance to requirements/standard processes/specifications/etc.

• Provide mark-ups for other team members

• Check the work of other team members for accuracy and compliance with current practices

• Update department procedures

• Support special initiatives within the department

EDUCATION:

• Certification / degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years of mechanical drafting/design/engineering or equivalent experience

• Education which would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required for this role

SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS:

• Mechanical drafting

• General knowledge of Heim products and manufacturing processes

• Solid modeling and drafting in SolidWorks

• CAD and PDM Software

• Communicate effectively, orally and in writing

• Inquisitive

• Strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft 365 software

• Documentation / taking notes
