Primal Pet Group Operations Food Safety Analyst in Fairfield, California

SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated technical administrative professional with a passion for providing exceptional administrative support to both Operations and Food Safety departments.  This position will play a crucial role in product analysis, collating data, and reporting to Operations and FSQA leadership. 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate and manage multiple dynamic projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Technical Support

  • Perform Product analysis (Available Water and Moisture), collate and analyze data, and provide leadership with findings reports.

  • Manage quarterly Product Confidence 

  • Monitor and maintain site and corporate quality programs (Nutritional, retain and shelf life, EMP, monitoring and measuring devices).

  • Perform Audits of policies, programs, and procedures against established guidelines of FDA and GFSI.

  • Be a proactive participant in identifying potential issues in all phases of operations and opportunities for improvement.

     

    Administrative Support

  • Support the Operations department with ERP system entries.

  • Provide administrative assistance to the FSQA Manager (document control, project management).

  • Assist with consumables inventory and ordering, processing purchase orders.

  • Develop training and skill assessments based on established Policies and SOPs.

  • Project point person for special projects for both Operations and Food Safety and Quality.

  • Support the FSQA manager with document and records program upkeep and monitoring.

  • Support KPO goals and assess and report on KPIs on a routine basis.

     

    Projects and Continuous Improvement

  • Coordinate with the production operations on optimization projects.

  • Investigate/troubleshoot incidents, report, and manage corrective and preventative actions.

  • Deviation, Root cause analysis investigation, CAPA report writing.

  • Execute projects and inspections that meet the technical and business objectives of Primal Pet Group

    EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in food manufacturing food safety and quality position preferred.

  • Experience in administrative support.

  • Technical knowledge of food safety is preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, speak, and communicate in English across all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

  • Solutions thinking, problem-solving, detail-oriented team player who plans and prioritizes effectively.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.

     

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    (HACCP and PCQI certification required within 6 months of hire.  Training provided)

    The employee will generally alternate between time spent at a desk and time spent within the warehouse or Production Floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, and varying environments including extreme cold, and vibration.
