Aerotek Machine Operator in FAIRFIELD, California

Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

The Machine Operator will work closely with the production crew to filter closures through machines to form capsules of various sizes according to customer specifications for wine bottle tops. Responsibilities include palletizing products, organizing work orders, and preparing shipments. The role requires heavy lifting up to 20lbs throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machines to form closures into specific size capsules

  • Work closely with the production crew to meet customer needs

  • Palletize products and assist with order preparation for shipments

  • Organize product storage to ensure accurate work order management

  • Conduct heavy lifting up to 20lbs throughout the shift

  • Move pallets with pallet jack and obtain certification if necessary

  • Pour materials from boxes into the machine (Base Tank)

  • Maintain a fast-paced production environment while following GMPs

  • Ensure accuracy on capsules and perform basic quality checks

  • Troubleshoot and inspect machines

  • Conduct quality control tests, including hourly capsule fit tests

  • Operate a computer system to input quality test data

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of production or warehouse experience

  • Experience with machine operating, preferably from a bottling line or medical device assembly

  • Familiarity with warehouse environments and pallet jack operation

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production setting and follow GMPs

  • Attention to detail for conducting quality checks and ensuring product accuracy

  • Good attendance record, with no more than 2 jobs in the past 2 years

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Good tenure with no more than 2 jobs in the past 2 years

  • Comfortable using a computer for quality control tests

  • Certified to operate a pallet jack

Work Environment

This role is based in a small warehouse/production environment with potential loud noise from capsule machines and metal clanking. The facility operates with a small team of 4 people per shift, promoting close collaboration. Employees must wear steel-toed boots, full-length pants or jeans, and adhere to GMP guidelines, including no jewelry, fake nails, or lashes. Hair nets and beard nets are provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FAIRFIELD, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00
