Job Summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Specialist, Government Compliance, to support the USAID Procurement Service Agent (PSA) HIV program. This full-time position, based in Fairfax, Virginia offers a hybrid remote/office work schedule. The Sr. Specialist will ensure compliance with government regulations and internal policies while managing audits and reviews. This role requires expertise in compliance processes, problem-solving, and collaboration with internal teams to improve systems. Strong communication skills are essential for working effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders. The position reports to the Senior Manager of Compliance and may involve mentoring less experienced team members.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of government compliance, including audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting for the USAID PSA HIV program.

  • Review internal processes and operational procedures to ensure adherence to government regulations and compliance with organizational policies.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all government compliance reviews and audits, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure timely and accurate documentation.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to develop, update, and implement policies and procedures based on evolving regulations or identified compliance gaps.

  • Interface with government agencies, contractors, and third-party auditors during compliance reviews, audits, and inspections.

  • Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions to improve operational systems and maintain continuous compliance.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities and generate reports on compliance status for senior leadership.

  • Mentor and guide less experienced team members on compliance best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Stay informed about regulatory changes in government compliance and provide recommendations to adapt policies and processes accordingly.

  • Support cross-functional teams in understanding and applying compliance regulations within their departments.

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in government compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of government regulations and industry best practices in compliance management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in compliance or regulatory affairs (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)).

  • Experience with government compliance in the international development sector, particularly with USAID and global health programs.

  • Experience with USAID's NextGen Global Health Supply Chain program, including familiarity with the QuTI (Quality, Testing and Issuance) process, is preferred.
