Transportation & Shipping Lead (Central Warehouse) - "W-TRS"

Job Description

*Leads actions to demilitarize, remove, transport, and arrange for disposal instructions for TADSS, GFP, and unaccounted property through PIEE or as directed.

*Creates documentation for shipping/disposal to facilitate adjustments in accountability.

*Updates and maintains disposal and inventory records in InSITE. Supports the FOCUS center and/or site staff in Task 2 where devices are located.

*Oversees daily transportation and shipping operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

*Plans and manages logistics, warehouse, and customer services related to transportation and shipping.

*Leads optimizes and coordinates full order lifecycle. Liaises and negotiates with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.

*Tracks quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs.

*Plans routes, processes shipments, and disposes of material properly following CPF 12.

*Resolves problems or issues.

*Supervises, coaches, and trains warehouse workforce. Meets cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.

*Maintains metrics and analyzes data to assess performance and implement improvements.

*Ensures the integrity of inventory accuracy and manages stock movements.

*Implements health and safety procedures in coordination with HR and Safety departments.

*Stays current with advances in logistics technology and apply new ways to streamline operations.

*Conduct training sessions on the proper installation and removal of TADSS to minimize damage and ensure proper handling.

*International shipping coordinator reports to this position.

*Oversees truck drivers. Collaborates with Task 2 staff as needed.

Education/Experience:

(10+BA/BS or 5+MA/MS) or (14+AA/No Degree)

Required Experience:

*Experience in leading actions to demilitarize, remove, transport, and arrange for disposal instructions for TADSS, GFP, and unaccounted property through PIEE or as directed.

*Experience in creating documentation for shipping/disposal to facilitate adjustments in accountability.

*Experience in updating and maintaining disposal and inventory records in InSITE.

*Experience in supporting the FOCUS center and/or site staff in Task 2 where devices are located.

*Experience in overseeing daily transportation and shipping operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

*Experience in planning and managing logistics, warehouse, and customer services related to transportation and shipping.

*Experience in leading, optimizing and coordinating the full order lifecycle.

*Experience in liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.

*Experience in tracking quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs.
