About the Job:

The position of Warehouse Supervisor will have primary responsibility to oversee the day-to-day operations of coordinating the efficient operations of the warehouse.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Shift hours 7:00am - 5:00pm.
  • Weekend work and/or overtime may be required.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Leads Yard staff to ensure safe working environment, and productivity requirements are met.
  • Ensure safe working conditions in Yard and Shop and adherence to all Federal, State, local, and OSHA regulations including regulations for personal protective equipment.
  • Supervise and assist in daily warehousing operations including; Loader and forklift operation, product inspection, shipping, receiving, storage. Ensuring inventory transactions are accurately completed through documentation procedures.
  • Track, record, monitor maintenance and inspections of operating equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Ensure all personnel are adequately trained for positions, are familiar with safety regulations, have appropriate personal protective gear, and are cross trained with peers.
  • Establish and adjust work procedures to meet customer demands, production schedules, work flow, vacations, etc.
  • Periodically audit warehouse procedures and make necessary changes to ensure work instructions comply with warehouse activities, objectives, and safety requirements.
  • Follow company guidelines and procedures for the safe loading and unloading material.
  • Pull freight orders, receive and ship product through inbound/outbound documentation process
  • Inspect material and make notations of any exceptions and or damages, then repair material/product for all inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Organize material and manage inventory accuracy within the Yard.
  • Document and communication to management all incident, accidents, claims, employee disciplinary and performance issues in accordance to regulations and company policy.
  • Communicate with truck drivers.
  • Ensure equipment is not overloaded and follows federal guidelines.
  • Use company guidelines, instructions, policies, procedures, and follow OSHA regulations in the performance of all job functions.
  • Evaluate and recommend processes and procedures to ensure quality of service.
  • Ensure inventory and material is stored safely and blocked properly.
  • Ensure work environment and areas are clean.
  • Complete daily paperwork, equipment inspections and record data. Including daily inventory and daily yard inspections.
  • Participate in meetings, and on committees as instructed or needed.
  • Participate in cross training, development programs and obtain any certifications as need or requested by manag ment.
  • Back up for Operations Manager during vacation, sickness, or as requested.
  • Participate in company training programs, safety events, company functions and meetings when requested.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of two years of warehouse experience is required.
  • Experience in a Warehouse Supervisor role is preferred.
  • Forklift operation experience required.
  • Must have ability to operate forklift with capacity up to 55,000 lbs.
  • Able to plan, oversee, and participate in warehouse strategy and planning operations.
  • Must have strong leadership skills.
  • Must have ability to multitask.

As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Odyssey provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.

The pay for this role is: $22.88 - $32.00 Hourly.
