GRANT SUMMARY
The goal of the Athabascan Drop-In Recovery Center project is to provide the recovery support services necessary for long-term recovery by integrating Athabascan values, evidence-based services, and instruction on American Indian and Alaskan Native (AI/AN) arts.
The Recovery Center provides instruction in Life Skills, Alaska Native Arts, Life Skills Training, Employment Training, Family-Parent Training through Elder Guidance and Community Services.
The Recovery Center is open seven days a week from 9:00am through 4:00pm.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for conducting weekly outreach to both recruit consumers and foster community and agency awareness of Fairbanks Native Association's and the Behavioral Health Community Coalition's recovery support and services.
JOB DUTIES
Conducts weekly culturally appropriate outreach to community organizations and leaders to raise awareness of the availability of Recovery Support Services provided by the Behavioral Health Community Coalition and FNA Behavioral Health Services, including the new Athabascan Drop-in Recovery Center.
Conducts weekly street outreach guided by the annual Outreach Plan in community to recruit consumers into the Recovery Support Services.
Develops referral activities to meet project goals over the life of the project.
Shares lived experience with consumers and families.
Shares experience with navigating mental health system.
Ensures adherence to data collection requirements and enters accurate and timely data into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Attends mandatory position training that provides training in risk factors as designated by Project Manager and/or Clinical Supervisor.
Maintains consumer confidentiality in accordance with 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPPA.
Attends all required staff meetings.

assigned.
