Job Title:  Director of Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain Department:  Supply Chain Classification: Exempt

Summary: As the Director of Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain, you will provide the vision and develop, deploy and lead the corporate strategic sourcing efforts across all business units. You will be responsible for and will lead and work with the team for all strategic and tactical sourcing, new product materials introduction.

You will ensure that the sourcing team is functioning at a high-performance level. To do this you will need to provide the team with the tools (such as refining the sourcing tools, cost analysis, and sourcing dashboards system) and leadership required for them to succeed. You will ensure that the procurement team is focused on providing their customer - the Manufacturing/Engineering team - with the right components to build lifesaving products at the right time.

As the Director, you will advance best in class, standardized and common processes and procedures for each of the functions, ensure functional alignment globally and drive continuous improvement. In this role, you will develop, expand, build and maintain a global vendor network to support an optimized operation.

Responsibilities: As the Director of Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain, you will: Supplier Network: Build, develop and expand a global supply chain. Identify and implement supply chain optimization initiatives. Manage domestic and international vendor relationships. Support operations in order to meet delivery targets. Implement supply chain process. Measure and implement methods to increase vendor quality including; On Time Delivery Pricing Quality Inventory Management and Analysis Manage inventory in the supply chain balancing cash flow, and cost and service objectives utilizing; Support teams objectives of Increasing inventory turns Unit cost reductions Develop short-term and long-range capacity planning and analysis; Address requirements such as: capital investment, new tool or machine requirements and ROI on recommended investments. Support the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes to drive business results cross-functionally. Supply Chain Cost Reduction Provide total cost management; Conduct spend analysis reviews and perform cost-to-serve analysis Continuously review and implement processes, procedures and strategies on pricing. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power. Develop year-over-year cost reductions and countermeasures as appropriate. Lead the "Make/Buy" decision making process for new and existing products in collaboration with other departments, such as Engineering, Operations and Finance. Work cross-functionally to monitor customer demand patterns. On Time Delivery of Materials to Operations Support efforts to eliminate parts shortages. Identify and actively prevent imbalances i production planning and scheduling. Ensure delivery in full and on time of all cost saving targets. Work with product development teams to ensure supplies are provided in time to achieve KPI's. Leadership and Management Build, grow and manage the procurement and strategic sourcing groups; Identify training and development needs of the team and develop training plans Set KPIs to develop and coach teams in; Vendor relationship management Negotiations Forecasting and supply and demand planning Strategic and tactical sourcing and procurement Processes and procedures Develop and manage risk mitigation strategies to protect against key/strategic objectives. Perform other duties as assigned in support of organizational goals. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or other relevant field. 7+ years of demonstrated success in a manufacturing and supply chain management. History of establishing and implementing supply chain processes and management tools and of working capital optimization. In-depth understanding of ERP systems; Syteline experience a plus; proficient in current computer software: MS Applications; PowerPoint, Word, Excel. Strong working knowledge of all areas of the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, vendor management, inventory optimization, and supply and demand planning. Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including accurate spelling, punctuation, and grammar for producing error-free letters, reports, and decision-making documents. Demonstrates outstanding tact and diplomacy for effective customer service, conflict management, and relationship building with internal and external contacts.
