Amazon Transportation Associate, Production Technician I, Project Kuiper in Everett, Washington

Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Key job responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently handle material for both production and development efforts using pre-defined SOPs, escalates when needed

  • Use proprietary software and ERP systems to virtually receive and manage material

  • Efficiently move material between sites, both physically and virtually.

  • Operate equipment including: pallet jacks and hand carts

Willing to work all shifts, including evenings and weekends, depending on business needs.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.

The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $24.50/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • With or without reasonable accommodations, must be able to lift up to 49 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.

  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

  • Flexibility with daily work location

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Be comfortable working with high levels of ambiguity

  • Previous dangerous goods training/knowledge

  • Forklift certified

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $41,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $55,120/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
