Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring for a Senior Flight Engineering Manager to lead the BCA Flight Sciences Aerodynamics Stability & Control Team in Everett, Washington.

As a Senior Flight Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the functional health and execution of work statement for the Aerodynamics Stability & Control discipline in support of all BCA programs. The Senior Manager is responsible for staffing, resource development, functional excellence, engineering quality and leading the discipline first level managers and associate technical fellows.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Flight Engineering as the BCA Aerodynamics Stability & Control Senior Manager.

  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives for S&C program support & certification, handling qualities and control requirement development, S&C technology, aerodynamic prediction, simulation development, S&C accident/incident investigation, and product development.

  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.

  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees and first-level managers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 10+ years of experience in the aerospace industry

  • 3+ years of engineering leadership experience

  • 1 or more years of experience in engineering management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in either aerodynamics or stability and control

  • 3+ years of experience in the flight sciences / aero-performance domain

  • Experience in Engineering processes, Design concepts and Techniques

  • Knowledge of System Thinking

  • Experience supporting Airplane Development Programs

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $165,750 - $224,250
