AvtechTyee Inc Quality Inspector in Everett, Washington

Our team is searching for a Quality Inspector with experience inspecting within one or more of the following areas of manufacturing: Receiving Inspection, Assembly, Subassembly, In-Process, Component, and Fabrication.  Along with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to help position our company for new growth and improved social responsibility. Aerospace experience is a plus!

Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Competently use:
    • Documentation including but not limited to Work Instructions, Operating Procedures, blueprints/drawings/schematics, packing slips, purchase orders, etc.
    • Tools including but not limited to calipers, micrometer, sunnen gauge, bore gauge, etc. to accurately measure/inspect parts including but not limited to purchased parts, machined parts, raw materials, components, assemblies, subassemblies, units, and end items.
  • Participate in measurement error studies to determine unwanted variation
  • Correctly perform in-process inspections of manufactured parts and sub-assemblies
  • Prepare and test material samples, as well as clean up of tools
  • Prepare associated paperwork and computer transactions for both accepted and rejected parts per specific instructions
  • Ensure all calibration standards are maintained

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 0-2 years' experience as a quality inspector or relevant role in a manufacturing environment, aerospace or other highly regulated industry preferred
  • Certified in Flight Safety Required
  • Rockwell Eddy Current preferred

The target hourly/salary range for this role is $24/hr. - $28/hr., depending on experience.
