Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Patient Service Representative in Everett, Washington, within the Healthcare/NHS industry. The primary role of this position is to ensure a high level of patient satisfaction by managing administrative tasks, coordinating appointments, and facilitating communication between patients, caregivers, and medical professionals.
Responsibilities:
• Greet patients and their families warmly, ensuring a comforting atmosphere within the oncology clinic.
• Efficiently schedule and confirm appointments for patients utilizing electronic systems.
• Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance-related inquiries.
• Collect patient co-payments, deductibles, and payments for services rendered, and assist with billing inquiries.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
• Act as a liaison, relaying messages and information between patients, caregivers, and medical staff.
• Handle general administrative tasks such as managing phone calls, overseeing office supplies, and maintaining an organized reception area.
• Collaborate effectively with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Display empathy and compassion in addressing patient concerns, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
• Manage multiple tasks and handle inbound telephone calls professionally, complying with HIPAA patient privacy rules.
• Schedule patient appointments using electronic medical record systems. Requirements • Proven experience in handling inbound telephone calls, demonstrating excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software to manage patient data
• Strong understanding and adherence to HIPAA Compliance, particularly the Patient Privacy Rule, safeguarding sensitive patient information
• Experience in scheduling patient appointments, ensuring efficient and coordinated care delivery TalentMatch®
