Job Description Summary

TMO-The Test Engineering Technician performs technical assignments involving instrumentation and NPI test data collection, which could include Light Probes, Intelligent Sensors, Clearanceometers, and Emissions Measurement under the leadership of appropriate staff or project personnel to ensure that Test Systems Engineering provides quality data to its customers.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Assist with the assembly, preparation, and installation of applicable NPI jet engine test instrumentation

· Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and package applicable test equipment for deployment to support NPI jet engine test with oversight and direction from Lead Technicians and Engineering

· Accomplish instrumentation implementation into the target test cell or site, as well as all preparations for collecting test data during engine test programs

· Provide test data collection and monitor application test equipment during NPI engine testing, as required

· Accomplish transfer and storage of engine test data

· Accomplish instrumentation tear-down, and facilitate equipment return to Bld 301 labs in Evendale

· Provide support to maintaining laboratory resources and equipment with direction from Lead Technicians and Engineering

· Support and perform work in compliance to all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies and regulations

· Support process improvement and technology development efforts with supervision and guidance from Lead Technicians and Engineering

Job Description

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Associate’s Degree in an applicable technical discipline from an accredited school or institution {i.e. Aviation Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Technology, Chemical Technology, etc.} (Or a high school diploma / GED with two years of work experience in a manufacturing or testing environment)

Desired Characteristics:

· Ability to understand engineering drawings and schematics

· Previous experience with laser/fiber optic based or impedance-based test instrumentation

· Previous experience with microelectronic assembly, troubleshooting, and repair

· Previous experience with NPI jet engine test support

· Ability to operate electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and signal generators

· Ability to work independently for moderate periods of time with minimal supervision

· Problem-solving skills

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
