Aerotek is looking to hire qualified plastic extrusion operators!

Starting up to $20/hour

Description:

Aerotek's client is a custom compounder of thermoplastic resins. The Production Technician performs all tasks involved in the operation of the extrusion equipment as it relates to the Company's finished product. This position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Job duties:

• Set up and operate extrusion/injection molding equipment.

• Fill machine hopper with correct material.

• Adjust machine parameters with required dimensions to obtain desired product.

• Clean extruder and downstream equipment.

• Observe machine operations and gauges to detect any defective material or machine malfunctions.

• Operate forklift

• Adhere all Safety and OSHA requirements.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE:

• Plastics industry experience (1-2 years minimum)

• Manufacturing experience (1- 2 years minimum)

• Good attendance record at previous employment (ask about previous attendance history)

• Good tenure

• Must be able to follow written work instructions

• Must be comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Extrusion experience, twin screw if possible

• Forklift experience (either sit down or stand up)
