Responsibilities

  • Monitor automation to ensure product is flowing through the system, which includes automation conveyor, labelers, weigh scale, orphan lane, shaker table, bag staker, box taper, H-taper, robot, carton erector, bag inserter, code printer and delivery conveyor

  • Maintain automation web page, including work order system

  • Manual re-entry of finished goods boxes at the automation line

  • Troubleshoot automation equipment and communicate problems as needed to engineering and/or management

  • Perform product disposition on rejected product

  • Replenishment of supplies for automation equipment, i.e. bags, boxes, tape, pallets, ink, etc.

  • Maintain scheduled preventative maintenance and cleaning activities, such as checking heater elements, verifying scale calibration, routine cleaning

  • Maintain a safe work environment

  • Follows all Food Safety and cGMP policies

  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Physical Demands -While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Computer Skills -To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software and Order processing systems.
