Bilingual candidates are eligible for an additional \$1.50 Bilingual Differential. This Bilingual Differential is not included in the salary range above. Position Summary: We are seeking a qualified and reliable Staff Accountant to support our Finance Department. The Staff Accountant is responsible for day to day accounting, data entry, working directly with the Finance Director and other administrative/finance staff members and in accordance with HIV Alliance fiscal policies and contractual requirements. The Staff Accountant is responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable, contract invoicing, and admin allocations. This position will support implementation of a new program, Health Related Social Needs (HRSN), including purchasing/inventory software implementation, fiscal policy/procedure and invoicing. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Assist in implementation of HRSN capacity building activities in the Finance Department Accounts payable & receivable Review disbursements Credit card entry and reconciliation Prepare and process invoices for grants and contracts, track progress Post transactions/disbursements to the general ledger Work with staff and management to develop and implement new procedures Complete journal entries, including monthly recurring Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts Allocate expenses to programs and track expenditures by revenue source Assist in preparation of financial statements, reports, and audit documentation Communicate with staff/managers to ensure compliance Maintain spreadsheets and routine data entry Conduct internal audit of pre-paid financial assistance cards Act as a back up to staff responsible for payroll and purchasing Special projects and other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: TB test provided by agency Valid Oregon driver\'s license, or valid out of state driver\'s license with the ability to get an Oregon driver\'s license within 30 days of establishing residency in Oregon, and a driving record sufficient to be covered by agency auto insurance policy Ability to pass agency criminal background check 5 years of experience and education that would provide the necessary skills. For example, Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting with at least one-year accounting experience Proficient with Word, Excel, Financial Edge or similar accounting software Nonprofit finance experience preferred Professional Competencies: Experience with inventory and inventory software preferred Detail-oriented, organized and accurate Flexible and adaptable Team player who is self-motivated, high-energy enthusiastic Capable of respecting and maintaining confidentiality in all appropriate agency business Ability to learn quickly, willing to ask questions to clarify information Excellent interpersonal communication, writing, analytical, problem-solving skills Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships For a complete job description, please visit: https://hivalliance.criterionhcm.com/jobs/51/1/#621
