As an Account Manager, you will lead and manage some of GloryBee's Key Accounts by maintaining customer retention, scaling revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
The Account Manager's role is to oversee and manage a portfolio of assigned clients, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities. The Account Manager will maintaining client retention, scale revenue growth, and achieve sales goals and KPI's. Account Manager is responsible for building account development plans, doing routine business reviews with the client to evaluate our performance, identify opportunities for sales growth by increasing the product portfolio and getting involved in clients innovation pipeline. The account manager is responsible to negotiate new and renewal contracts to maximize profit as well as closing new business on other products resulting in sales and contribution margin growth.
The typical work week for this role is Monday through Friday, with the flexibility for hybrid/remote work, as well as occasional travel or visits to our work site in Eugene, Oregon, as business needs dictate. Typical duties for this full-time role can include:
+ + Manage accounts of all sizes by representing your team externally with clients and internally by working with supporting positions and departments
Serve as the main point of contact in all matters related to client concerns and needs
Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships
Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals
Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients
A successful Account Manager should collaborate with our team to identify growth opportunities/new business and know how to achieve ambitious sales quotas.
Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, client stakeholders and executive sponsors
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs and objectives
Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
Prepare reports on account status
Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
As necessary, visit clients, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities
Develop a thorough understanding of the clients' position in the market, their product/service, points of difference and competitive landscape
Establish and build strong working relationships with business leaders at all levels
Proactively remain connected to clients and the ever-changing market to access new search opportunities and ensure all viable clients are engaged on a regular and effective basis
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven work experience and track record of success as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role. Preferably in the food ingredient or food industry.
BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
Demonstrable ability to effectively communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including entry-level support, executive and C-level
Solid experience and proficiency with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, etc) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
Experience delivering creative client-focused solutions to meet client needs
Proven ability to plan, juggle, prioritize and deliver consistently on multiple account management projects at a time.
Detail-oriented, Organized, Observant, Asks lots of questions and a diligent researcher of client needs
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational & time management skills and attention to detail
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, free of accidents or incidents
