Senior Quality Engineer (Calibration Lead)

The Senior Quality Engineer (Calibration Lead) is principally responsible for successful execution and management of the Etna calibration program for the eVinci Microreactor program. This includes management of all external instrument (and eventually internal) calibration work, such that the eVinci Microreactor development team successfully satisfies all internal and external customer and regulator expectations to satisfy the corporate vision statement.

Your Day to Day: * Evaluate and troubleshoot Inspection Measuring & Test Equipment (IM&TE) as necessary. * Coordinate with external calibration suppliers as necessary to determine pricing, repair leadtime, and repair approvals. * Create, maintain, and execute calibration procedures for various instrumentation and equipment. * Maintain the calibration database (Leading 2 Lean) for all IM&TE and monitor due dates / calibration frequencies, generate calibration records, and eventually perform calibration activities as required. * Work with outside vendors to purchase metrology equipment or services when required including quote development and management of vendor correspondence. * Conduct training, as required, for other technicians at the facility. * Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) to ensure IM&TE and support equipment are fully functional and are within operational parameters. * Support general housekeeping initiatives within the manufacturing facility. This includes assisting with keeping all working surfaces, carts, tools, and other resources in a constant state of immediate readiness for use. * Support internal and external audits of the calibration program * Coordinate with management and establish goals to expand internal calibration capabilities and establish scope approval for such capabilities under ISO/IEC-17025 * Perform job duties in a professional manner at all times. * Eventually develop an internal calibration program to control routine internal calibration of IM&TE used at the Etna manufacturing facility.

Who You Are:

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following: * Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline is required * Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role * Formal training in Metrology and Calibration is preferred * Experience with equipment maintenance and repair is preferred * Advanced troubleshooting skills are preferred * Ability to physically move throughout the shop facility safely, including using step ladders and other equipment to access IM&TE as necessary * Competency with using calibration software and managing electronic calibration records * Experience operating within a formal quality management system (ISO 9001, AS9100, ASME NQA-1) * U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required * Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds * Knowledgeable of standard business software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SAP, Leading2Lean)
