Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries Fab 9 is seeking experienced professionals to support the feature rich 200mm semiconductor manufacturing and development in Essex Junction, VT. The Quality Assurance team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Quality Engineer to oversee key quality management system business processes for the Fab 9 location such as: Non-conforming materials disposition, internal excursion management, corrective action/preventive action, FMEA, Out-going quality inspection, and change management. The successful candidate for this position will have demonstrated success in working cross organizationally to enable robust quality systems and processes to deliver best in class satisfaction. In this role, your duties may include supporting and learning all aspects of manufacturing quality management listed above but with primary focus on Non-conforming materials and event management processes to start.

This individual will be part of the Fab 9 quality assurance team endeavoring to improve Fab 9 business processes aligned with global and industry standards in support of operational excellence, improved performance and delivering business policy changes that help manage risk to the Fab 9 team and consistent with our future customer portfolio. Please note, this is an on-site position at the Essex Junction, VT facility.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Ownership and accountability for the efficiency and effectiveness of designated business processes (Change Management, Structured Problem Solving, Risk Management)

{=html} <!-- --> - Own and drive manufacturing quality metrics to targets and drive continuous improvement for the above business processes for all Tier 1-3 KPIs with an annual refresh.

{=html} <!-- --> - Serve as business owner for the FMEA and Wafer Jeopardy business processes for F9. You will primarily be responsible for facilitating annual reviews, ensuring that the process for that is robust and takes into account all learning from the prior year as well as fab-wide themes.

{=html} <!-- --> - Secondary role will be to serve as back-up and/or successor in another business process such as Change Management or structured problem solving. You may be asked to chair PCRB and/or SLT iCAR reviews, documenting minutes, recording actions as well as supporting the work needed to close these processes out.

{=html} <!-- --> - Primary focus is to ensure our FMEA process is robust and strives to be best in class, and that the risk assessments as part of other business processes within quality represent that same standard.

{=html} <!-- --> - Partner with the broader F9 technical team to promote and ensure risk management, FMEA is part of the standard of work through our business processes as well as the goto starting point of any change.

{=html} <!-- --> - Be a catalyst to enable risk-based thinking & quality mindset culture Fab9 Supporting v rious departments by collecting and coordinating internal quality processs across various departments, conducting ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks, managing and reporting compliance breaches and exposures.

{=html} <!-- --> - Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or other related field or equivalent experience

{=html} <!-- --> - Experience - 3+ years relevant experience in the semiconductor industry

{=html} <!-- --> - Good written, presentation, communication skills and interact with all levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership skills to drive a high-performance team with hands on experience on excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills

{=html} <!-- --> - Knowledge and applied experience in overall Quality Management systems such as Control Plan, FMEA, SPC, Corrective Action Requests, 8D problem solving methodologies other quality tools etc.,

Expected Salary Range
