Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries is looking to hire a Process Engineer to support the Fab9 Test facility across a variety of Test Equipment and state of the art products (Commercial and Automotive RF Mixed Signal, Silicon Photonics) in Wafer and Package forms. Will have the primary responsibility of New Product (NPI) development enablement and OSAT production technical support. Resolving issues throughout execution of both process flows.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Drive engineering projects to optimize the NPI/Production flow, reduce cost & flow inhibitors

  • Implement statistical process controls to ensure test operation perform as intended

  • Monitor KPI (key performance indicator) for Test Limited yield issues.

  • Ensure “Manufacturing Readiness” for new products (NPI) as they enter volume ramp phase.

  • Support and improve NPI/Manufacturing test processes for leading edge products

  • Collaborate with Test Equipment, and Test Development Engineering teams

  • Perform structured problem solving and root-cause analysis on quality incident

  • Provide technical guidance and complete documentation/communication on Projects

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – Graduating with Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field from an accredited degree program.

  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.

  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Data mining and analytical skills

  • Programming skills (C++, Java, MySQL) and knowledge of Unix

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.

  • Experience in coding.

  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.

  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong planning & organizational skills

Expected Salary Range

$52,500.00 - $107,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
