DC Supervisor

The Distribution Center (DC) Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating shipping activities s and warehouse workers in a warehouse distribution center that includes ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and moving materials to and from the Manufacturing lines.

Shift & Schedule: This position will support employees across multiple hourly employee schedules. On site hours of support are Monday- Friday 3:00pm - 12:00am. Flexibility for additional coverage outside of these hours, including potential weekends and/or holidays, is also required.

Compensation: This is an exempt, salaried position paid on a biweekly cycle. Compensation is flexible and determined by the candidate's experience level.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for the direction, coordination, productivity, evaluation and other efficiencies of all warehouse / distribution activities for assigned warehouse workers / loaders and drivers / routes.

  • Ensure proper execution and implementation of all policies procedures with regard to picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory management, and distribution.

  • Supervise a team of forklift drivers, warehouse workers, yard hustlers and Shipper / Receivers.

  • Ensure accurate deliveries and excellent customer service.

  • Train and evaluate warehouse staff on effective inventory techniques and daily tasks.

  • Monitor the team to ensure vehicles and other equipment are well maintained and that related repairs and safety issues are addressed in a timely manner.

  • Ensure that optimal inventory levels of full goods are maintained in order to fulfill daily sales needs.

  • Conduct physical counts of inventory and reconcile floor counts and inventory shipments.

  • Ensure compliance with safety codes, policies, and procedures of the Company and standards established by SOX, OSHA, FDA, and DOT.

  • Provides current, direct, complete and “actionable” positive and corrective feedback to others

Requirements:

  • H.S. Diploma Required, Bachelor Degree in a related field preferred

  • 3+ years' supervisory level experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in the food and beverage industry is preferred.

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, pull and visual systems and clear understanding of TQM and use of tools and data for problem solving, decision making, and continuous improvement required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word with demonstrated knowledge of productivity tracking

  • Experience with SAP or similar system preferred

  • Experience is driving productivity and efficiency through data and direct observations is required.

  • Must be comfortable developing and conducting group presentations to employees and management.
