Lake Erie College Of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) Student Employment - Summer Dissection Intern ERIE, Pennsylvania
JOB SUMMARY: Students will work in the anatomy lab for up to 20 hours per week and complete the dissection of an assigned cadaver.
CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote and preserve the mission of LECOM;
- Act in a friendly, professional manner when dealing with faculty, students and visitors at all times;
- Maintain confidentiality, professional appearance and pleasant demeanor;
- Students will be required to maintain the order and cleanliness of their work station and the anatomy lab as a whole.
- Dissection of other miscellaneous specimens may be assigned based on dissection skill and available time;
- Students may also be asked to participate in other anatomy lab maintenance activities such as inventorying bone boxes/collections, cleaning tanks, and organizing radiographic collections; and
- Accept other duties as needed / assigned to create an efficient and effective learning experience.

Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed:

- The student dissector must demonstrate the motor skills required of all LECOM medical school students as specified in the Health & Technical Standards section of the student handbook;

- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships;

*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to: *being a current LECOM student in the DAE program, MS1 program, or a MMS student with conditional acceptance into the MS1 program, with a LECOM grade point average as approved by the Director of the program and the Associate Dean of Pre-Clinical Education.
